Mike is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Whittier Trust Companies of California and of Nevada. He joined the firm in 1990 to implement the firm's critical transition from a family office to a private trust company.

 

Mike has thirty-five years of diversified experience in financial services. He has an extensive background in asset management, private banking, legal, fiduciary and trust services. Prior to joining Whittier Trust Company, Mike served as Group Executive at The Hibernia Bank in San Francisco, Division Manager and Senior Trust Officer for The Bank of California and he began his career at Continental Illinois National Bank in Chicago.

 

Mike received his Bachelor's degree from St. Mary's College, completed post graduate work at De Paul University and the University of Wisconsin. He earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Chicago Kent College of Law.

 

Mike is a director, president and/or officer of the M. H. Whittier Corporation, Whittier Financial LLC, Whittier Ventures LLC, Whittier Realty LLC, M. H. Whittier Energy LLC and Whittier Holdings, Inc. Additionally, Mike is a director of the LKW Foundation, the LLWW Foundation, the Confidence Foundation, the WWW Foundation, and the Mericos Foundation. He also is active in numerous Pasadena and San Marino organizations.
