Symphony at Salk remains one of the most inspiring evenings of the year—a celebration of music, science, and philanthropy set against the stunning backdrop of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies’s oceanfront courtyard.
This year, the event focused on the Year of Alzheimer’s Disease Research, highlighting the Institute’s innovative efforts to explore new drivers of neurodegeneration, including chronic inflammation, genome instability, and energy metabolism across all brain cells.
Whittier Trust was proud to be represented by Kiley Barnhorst MacDonald, joining a community committed to advancing discoveries that hold the promise of meaningful impact.
With a performance by the San Diego Symphony, the evening beautifully underscored the power of collaboration—between institutions, disciplines, and individuals—in service of lasting progress.
