Charlie Normandin is a Vice President, Client Advisor in Whittier Trust’s San Francisco office. His keen attention to detail allows him to present his clients with optimal solutions to a wide array of challenges. Charlie’s primary focus is providing tailored family office services and fiduciary and financial planning for high-net-worth families and individuals.
Prior to joining Whittier in 2020, Charlie worked as a Senior Tax Accountant at Windes, Inc. in Long Beach, CA. He specialized in Trust & Estate tax services and was a key advisor for Not-for-Profit organizations, assisting them with annual reporting and board meetings. Charlie’s customized approach to providing the best in client service began in high school behind the counter at the landmark Balboa Candy shop on Balboa Island, CA, where he learned the art of curating customers’ candy preferences from a vast inventory of sweets.
Charlie received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Professional Accounting Certificate from California State University, Chico. He completed his MBA at the University of San Francisco in 2026 and earned his Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation in 2022.
Charlie serves on the Development Committee for De Marillac Academy, an all-scholarship 4th through 8th grade Catholic school in San Francisco and is a member of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council. Outside of the office, Charlie enjoys golfing, boxing, and cooking. He’s also known for asking one simple question: what’s your favorite candy?
